What an excellent version, and acapella no less. Who are those talented young men? It would have taken a lot of work to get it so tight. Excellent job! Bill

Wonderful singing!! Just great.

Very impressive. A capella on its own is difficult but with that many voices, pitches and harmony! Bravo!

Posted by: David Cranson 13 October 08:49

WONDERFUL!! I'm a big queen fan, and this is quite outstanding, and one of the BEST covers of the song I have ever heard!!!

something has died inside of me. I'm sorry but I don't like acapella and they have ruined one of my favorite songs. Good singing though.

Posted by: Padre X 17 October 17:56

Damn. That was a-freaking-mazing. I guess is you don't like acapella like Penn there, you might not like it, but otherwise - WOW. And I think Freddy's somewhere smiling about that one...

Posted by: bigtex1961 17 October 18:05

un-FREAKIN-believable!

Posted by: Larry 19 October 10:42

I thought that was a wonderful and talented performance. I hope these young fellows get a chance to express them selves in a national televised venue...they deserve recognition!

Posted by: nana3 21 October 18:15

Are these Cayuga's Waiters from Cornell?

Posted by: Rowell 22 October 09:25

This one's even better and entertaining than the actual queen version :)

Posted by: Maria 22 October 12:01

I believe this was sung by UC Berkeley's UC Men's Octet.

Posted by: adriana 25 October 15:23

I wish Freddie could have seen it...I don't cry easily but that brought tears as how amazing and committed they were. I'm passing to all Queen fans...

It's nice to know that in an age of screaming rock and unintelligble hip-hop, there are still those who know what REAL quality music is, and will work to achieve it. BRAVO!

OMG .. absolutely fabulous..

Posted by: Bob P 15 November 21:38

Great performance! A lot of work must have gone into this plus some excellent musical talent.

Posted by: Jim Overly 15 November 23:27

That was excellent AND fun...is there a way to find out who these guys are? They could give The King's Singers a run for their money...

Posted by: santeria 22 November 20:04

I can't say that I was that enthralled with singing that came close to being doo-wop.Whilst I am sure these Guys will do well in N-SYNC mk 2, I must say that the real genius here is the arranging; whom-ever arranged the material did a good job, I just wish it had been some other song. And yes, there is still a reason that Many Queen songs cannot be done live and thats because QUEEN had one of the greatest collection of Voices on the Planet, as well as the Best Musicians, but to do what they had to do, they Multitracked.. so, especially since one of them is dead. Brian and Roger do Great Stripped down versions of QUEEN songs in the times when Freddy was alive and even now, but they are still stripped versions. QUEEN rules !!

For those of you wondering who these guys are, they are the UC Men's Octet from UC Berkeley. This video is from their 2003 Spring show at Wheeler Auditorium on campus. I know firsthand, because I had the pleasure of being a member of this particular group (I was the one that did the second solo). Glad you guys like it! It took a long time to rehearse!! :o)

Posted by: gordon huser 29 December 01:09

I'm with santeria. kinda doo-wop.

Posted by: Erika http://www.rowellphoto.c 13 January 23:18

That was fantastic! I can't say how many times I daydreamed about performing that song with a group of people. I absolutely loved it. Keep up the good work at Berkeley!!!
